In the 2003 VideoMarathon all the films were made in English for the first time, and the members of the jury came from Norway, Sweden and Denmark. As in 2002, the interest from the surrounding countries grew in 2003. In addition to participants from Denmark, a significant part came from Sweden, Norway, Germany, Iceland and Greenland.
The award show took place on Saturday September 21st in the Palladium cinema in Copenhagen, Denmark. The winner was the 27 year-old Klaus Sandvik from Oslo, Norway, who in addition to the VideoMarathon trophy received a director’s contract for a film production. The production grant was given by True Stories and Nordisk Film. The film is now in production at Nordisk Film’s studios in Oslo and will be shown on NRK.
