1.The minimum age of the contestant is 16 years.

2.The participation fee of DKK 500 has to be paid.

3.The contestant will bring his / her own DV camera for his / her use in the competition.

4.The contestant will only use the tape handed out at the beginning of the competition. It is prohibited to use other videotapes, sound from CD's, external computer graphics and such.

5.The contestant must try to avoid recording music apart from random background music. If the film focuses on a protected piece of music, the contestant must ensure permission from the musicians in question.

6.The contestant must try to avoid recording protected works of art (e.g. sculptures), unless the work of art is part of a random background and can't be characterized as a principal motive.

7.The contestant must comply with the subject of the films as announced at the start of VideoMarathon.

8.The contestant must meet the deadlines given at the beginning of VideoMarathon.

9.The contestant must ensure written permission from all participants regarding their participation by using the participant's statement, which will be sent to the contestants and handed out at the beginning of the competition.

10.The contestants themselves bear the responsibility of all costs that may arise during filming.

11.The organizer is not liable for payment of any claims for damage or other expenses that may come from a third party in connection with the contestant's recordings as part of the VideoMarathon project.

12.The length of the finished film must be 3 - 5 minutes.

If the contestant breaks the above-mentioned rules it can, in accordance with the decision of the organizers, lead to disqualification from the competition, effective immediately.
